- HTC Desire L with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor announced

HTC has announced the Desire L, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen Super LCD2 display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor similar to the Desire P that was unveiled earlier this month. No details about the Android version. It has a 5MP auto focus camera on the back with LED Flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and comes with Beats audio support.

The HTC Desire L would be available for 10,900 New Taiwan Dollar (~US$ 366) exclusively from Far Eastone Telecommunications in Taiwan. It would also be available on contract with up front fee of 2,990 New Taiwan Dollar with additional 897 as monthly rental from the operator. No details whether HTC plans to release the phone in other markets worldwide.
